The flagship cryptocurrency has fallen nearly 14% in April, according to Coin Metrics, and is on pace to post its first negative month in eight, and its worst month since November 2022, when FTX collapsed. However, it's proved to be a winning month in the previous halving years of 2012, 2016 and 2020. On Tuesday, Hong Kong bitcoin ETFs began trading. "Whether it's the next month or two months, you'll start to see more wealth management firms approve the ETF on their platforms.

Irrational behavior due to concerns over the stability of the U.S. banking system has made Charles Schwab 's stock a cheap investment opportunity, according to value investor Daniel O'Keefe. O'Keefe said this "cash sorting" was mistaken for a bank run. "On the negative side, cash sorting moved back up in August post the July Fed hike, and Ameritrade client attrition around conversion activity also rose considerably." "We believe fears of a reacceleration in cash sorting behavior are overblown," the JPM analysts said in a note to clients on Sept. 20. He initiated a position in Schwab for the value fund, calling it "a phenomenal business" trading at a discount.

Goldman Sachs partners are leaving — some 202 during David Solomon's five years as CEO by Insider's calculation. In particular, before Solomon, Goldman nurtured many fiefs and then spread the wealth from the most successful ones across the firm. Of the former Goldman executives that Insider interviewed, here are the most cited reasons they gave for leaving Goldman. When both men struggled, senior partners left, and Goldman stumbled in its efforts to wind down its balance-sheet investments. Goldman Sachs partners are paid well by any standard: $950,000 in base salary and often multiples of that in annual bonuses.
